5 top tips to help reduce your waistline

  1. Catch up on your sleep. There’s a strong correlation between sleep deprivation and weight gain so do your waistline a favour by using the weekend to catch up on sleep. The more rested you are, the better able you’ll be at fending off cravings.
  2. Slow your eating pace. Chewing more and eating at a slower pace is better for you and can help you reduce your waistline.
  3. Don’t do your weekend food shop on an empty stomach. This task shouldn’t be done any day on an empty stomach as you’ll make more impulsive and calorific food choices this way.
  4. Prepare your snacks. Take some time to prepare your snacks by cutting up fruit and vegetables to nibble on and place them in the fridge so they are easily accessible over the weekend.
  5. Take a walk. Being active rather than vegging out can make all the difference when it comes to avoiding weekend weight gain.
